At South Texas Orthodontics - Stone Oak, we warmly welcome all new patients on their first visit to our established practice. During their initial 45-minute appointment, our patients will receive a comprehensive examination and a customized treatment plan with several options to choose from.

Our professional orthodontists cater to each patient’s individual needs and works hard to perfect each unique smile. Following the initial consultation, an additional 30-minute appointment may be scheduled to develop your personal diagnostic record. Here we will make impressions of your teeth, create photos and take x-rays in order to further personalize your file.

What to Expect on a First Visit

During the first visit, we will cover the following topics:

Identifying the specific condition that is being treated
Discuss whether the patient will benefit from orthodontic care now, or later after appropriate tooth growth has occurred
Cover treatment options that are available to correct the problem
Talk about the time and cost involved in the procedure
Structure a financial payment option if necessary

We encourage our patients to ask any questions they may have about our orthodontic care. After carefully reviewing any x-rays, impressions and photographs, our team will be able to give you a more detailed description of your treatment options.
